范文
The chart illustrates the fluctuations in house prices on average in five important cities between 1990 and 2002 in comparison with those in the year 1989.
From 1990 to 1995,the average house price in New York (USA) decreased considerably by 5% compared with that in 1989, while the prices in Tokyo (Japan) and London (UK) fell more significantly by both approximately 7%. On the other hand, the average prices in Madrid (Spain) and Frankfurt (Germany) grew marginally by just about 2% and 3% respectively.
In contrast, there was a more substantial change from 1996 to 2002. Average house prices in four Western cities all showed upward trends: a small difference took place between New York (5%) and Madrid (about 4%), whereas a bigger gap happened between Frankfurt (just 2%) and London( almost 12%). Oppositely, the average figure in an Asian city — Tokyo, dropped by 5% compared with that in 1989.
Overall, the chart shows the average house price in London changed the most dramatically during the 12-year period by contrasting with that in 1989.
