The person I am going to tell you about is Xiaoming,a young adult living in the opposite building.He prefers to dress in white clothes and is pretty slim and handsome.At 21 years old,he is now doing a bachelor’s degree at Renmin University of China,one of the most prestigious universities in our country.

我要告訴你的人是小明，一個(gè)住在我對(duì)面樓的年輕人。他喜歡穿白色衣服，身材纖細(xì)，長(zhǎng)相帥氣。他今年21歲，在中國(guó)最著名的大學(xué)之一–中國(guó)人民大學(xué)修讀學(xué)士學(xué)位。

Although we live in the same community and are of similar ages,we barely knew each other until last summer when we both signed up as volunteers to contribute our own effort to contain the spread of Covid-19.This article is from   website.Our job involved standing at the entrance of our community to check the guests’health code and urge them to put on their masks.This article is from  website.It was tedious,exhausting,but meaningful.Since we were assigned to the same shift,we soon became familiar.

雖然我們住在同一個(gè)小區(qū)，年齡相仿。但我們直到去年夏天才認(rèn)識(shí)彼此。那時(shí)，我們一起報(bào)名擔(dān)任志愿者，為控制新冠疫情的傳播貢獻(xiàn)自己的力量。我們的工作包括站在小區(qū)門(mén)口，檢查來(lái)訪者的健康碼，并要求他們帶上口罩。它十分無(wú)聊，讓人精疲力盡，但卻意義重大。由于我們被安排在同一班次，我們很快就熟悉起來(lái)。

Back then,the only thing we could do was chat.We introduced our majors,universities,and hobbies,complained about the uncooperative attitude of some individuals,and imagined the happy life after the coronavirus.When our shift was over,we would play Wangzherongyao together,a cellphone game where you teamed up with others to defend the base.

那時(shí)候，我們唯一能做的事情就是聊天。我們介紹自己的專業(yè)，學(xué)校和愛(ài)好，抱怨一些人不配合的態(tài)度，并幻想新冠結(jié)束之后的幸福生活。下班之后，我們會(huì)一起玩王者榮耀，一款你跟其他人組隊(duì)一起守護(hù)基地的手機(jī)游戲。

I am interested in him because we share the same sense of duty towards our society.We both believe that every citizen needs to stand up and make a concerted effort to put an end to the pandemic.And instead of being an armchair critic,we have taken concrete actions.

我對(duì)他感興趣，因?yàn)槲覀儗?duì)社會(huì)抱有同樣的責(zé)任感。我們都相信每一個(gè)市民都要站起來(lái)，共同努力才能結(jié)束疫情。而且與其當(dāng)一個(gè)鍵盤(pán)俠，我們都采取了切實(shí)的行動(dòng)。
