An English lesson that gave me a deep impression and that I liked was taught by a British teacher named Sally,who had taught English to speakers of other languages for more than 20 years.

一節(jié)讓我印象深刻并且喜歡的英語(yǔ)課程是由一位叫做Sally的英國(guó)老師教的，她曾經(jīng)教ESOL課程20多年了。

I had her lesson in 2018,which was a year before the covid-19.She was then having some adventure in China and teaching some English to students in my university as a part-time teacher.So,I was fortunate to be a student of hers.

我是在2018年的時(shí)候上了她的課，也就是在新冠疫情發(fā)生的前一年。她當(dāng)時(shí)在中國(guó)探險(xiǎn)并在我的學(xué)校兼職教英文。所以，我就有幸成為了她的學(xué)生。

Actually,her English lessons were quite different from those of my English teachers here.You know,there wasn’t any rote learning in her class.I remember,at the very beginning,I was not quite used to her first lesson,which was all in English.You know,I hadn’t learned English in that way before.However,she seemed to be quite skillful in dealing with this situation and designed some guided group activities where learners could cooperate and share ideas.Once I got into it,I somehow felt the urge to express myself,which was quite interesting.You know,I no longer felt shy to express myself in English even though I might have faulty grammar.And I ended up improving a lot,especially on my fluency level.

其實(shí)，她的英文課程和這邊的英語(yǔ)老師教的特別不同。在她的課程上，沒(méi)有死記硬背。我記得，一開(kāi)始，我不是特別適應(yīng)她的全英文教學(xué)。我曾經(jīng)完全沒(méi)有這樣學(xué)習(xí)過(guò)。不過(guò)，對(duì)待這種情況，她似乎特別有技巧，并設(shè)計(jì)了一些小組活動(dòng)，活動(dòng)上大家可以一切合作并分享觀點(diǎn)。當(dāng)我投入進(jìn)入的時(shí)候，不知怎么的，我就有了表達(dá)欲，很有意思。我之后就再也沒(méi)有羞于表達(dá)英文了，即便我會(huì)出現(xiàn)一些錯(cuò)誤的語(yǔ)法。最終，我獲得很大的進(jìn)步，尤其是的流利度上面。

I guess what made me interested in her lesson was that Sally made her lessons quite interactive.You know,it seems that we are just playing games in class.But,we are actually learning by doing.It kind of reminds me of how I learned things in kindergarten,where there was no explicit teaching,and we were growing in knowledge incrementally.

我覺(jué)得我很喜歡她的課程的原因就是Sally把課程變得很有互動(dòng)性。就感覺(jué)我們?cè)谡n上玩游戲一樣。但是，我們其實(shí)是在實(shí)踐中學(xué)習(xí)。這有點(diǎn)讓我想起了在幼兒園的時(shí)候，當(dāng)時(shí)沒(méi)有太多的顯性教學(xué)，我們是逐步提升知識(shí)的。
