雅思口語建筑類話題 精選3篇范文
范文一:
口語題目
Describe an old building that you like.
You should say:
where it is
what it is used for
and why you like it.
I'm going to describe a very famous building in New York: the Empire State Building. People might not think of it as an old building, but the Empire State Building was built in 1931, so I don't think it can be classed as new. It's located on Manhattan island and it's probably the most distinctive and recognisable building when you look at New York's skyline.
As far as I know, the Empire State Building is an office building, but visitors can go up to an observation deck on the top floor, which is the 102nd floor. There's also a 360-degree observation area on the 86th floor. Apparently, the building makes more money from the sale of tickets to the observation floors than it does from office rentals.
I think the Empire State Building is still one of the most impressive skyscrapers in the world. It's such an iconic structure, and it's amazing to think that it was built around 80 years ago. The best thing about the building is the viewing deck on the top floor, which offers spectacular views of the city. It's definitely the best vantage point in New York. I'd recommend anyone who visits the city to go there and experience the view.

Describe an important historical building in your city?
You should say
Where it is?
What it looks like?
What it is used for
And explain how you feel about it?
Sample answer:
I was born and raised in Shanghai, as you know, a metropolis and international city like Shanghai doesn’t have many historical building compared to many ancient cities in China. But there is still one important historical building also a tourist resort that is worth mentioning, “ Peace Hotel” which is located on the west side of the Huangpu River. If you have the chance to spend a night in this hotel, you will be able to enjoy a feast of views of the enchanting Huangpu River and the astonishing light show from the skyscrapers in the Lujiazui financial center on the other side of the river. The Peace Hotel itself is both a multi-functional modern hotel and a historical building. The seemingly forlorn appearance from outside doesn’t belie its profound and elaborative nature as well as a period of a turbulent past it represents. “The Peace Hotel” is suited on two sides of the road, on the north side is the new Peace Hotel and on the south side is the old Peace Hotel which is nowadays merely an exhibition gallery and museum. The “ Peace Hotel” still remained the most famous hotel and restaurant in Shanghai. In its past, it used to be the only residence for those foreign ambassadors and celebrities. Say like General George Marshall, Charles Chaplin and George Bernard Shaw, ect. The highlight of the Peace Hotel is its stylish Jazz bar its Jazz band. Back in 80’s, it used to be the place where numerous of political and governmental heads enjoy themselves while one of the most famous Asian jazz band playing their classic jazz music. For me, I think the “Peace Hotel” is the hotel where you can trace back to the olden days and embrace the vintage feeling of the old shanghai, meantime, you will find yourself blended in and being a part of these golden memory.

Right in the heart of Beijing, our nation’s capital, is a collection of buildings that includes palaces and political offices that have been there for hundreds of years. The architecture is uniquely Chinese in design and absolutely beautiful to behold. The detail in the masonry and roof is like nothing else on this planet. They truly are exceptionally beautiful and impressive to look at. For many years these buildings have been photographed and displayed for all to see.
These days they are not used for much, but instead serve as tourist sites for millions who visit China each year. Tour groups are led through the halls of the palace and other buildings and these visits bring a lot of revenue to the industry. Tourists are blown away by the symmetrical design and delicate details of these buildings. They represent our long history and symbolize our rich culture.
I know about these buildings because all Chinese students are taught their history and value at school. Teachers like to point out their significance and detailed historical value.
For me, the buildings hold a nostalgic value as they represent our long, deep, cultural history. I can just imagine how many famous rulers and decision makers have come and gone in those halls. The buildings help to shape our past and also provide a reminder to the future of the importance of culture and heritage. They make me feel proud to be Chinese.
