The person I am going to tell you is Xiaoming,the president of the Youth Volunteer Association in my school.He is a tall,slim boy,with some marks of pimples on his face.Every time I see him,he is wearing a smile,quite amiable,which perfectly fits his position and what he does.

我要告訴你的人是小明，我們學(xué)校青年志愿者協(xié)會(huì)的會(huì)長。他是個(gè)高高瘦瘦的男生，臉上有些青春痘的痕跡。每次我見到他，他都帶著微笑，非常和善，完美符合他的職位與他所做的事情。

I first met him at the interview.Since the Youth Volunteer Association was one of the most popular associations in my university,it had to screen off some of the applicants to avoid being too overstaffed.This article is from   website.Then at the welcome party,I learnt that he was doing the same major as me,two grades higher,and we were actually from the same place,which provided a natural reason for us to become familiar with each other.

我第一次遇到他是在面試的時(shí)候。由于青年志愿者協(xié)會(huì)是我們學(xué)校里最受歡迎的協(xié)會(huì)之一，它必須篩選掉一些人來避免過度臃腫。然后在迎新晚會(huì)上，我了解到他跟我同一個(gè)專業(yè)，高兩個(gè)年級(jí)。而我們也來自同一個(gè)地方。這給我們彼此熟悉提供了天然的理由。

Every week,he would organize three different volunteer activities,one to the school for deaf-mutes,playing games with the disabled adolescents to ease their feelings of being isolated from society;one to the nursing home,chatting with the senior citizens and cleaning rooms for them so that they know they are not forgotten,and the last one to the animal shelter to help the staff bath the puppies.Although doing these kinds of activities is his job,he does them quite sincerely.Otherwise,he could lower the frequency or cut one of them off.

每周，他都會(huì)組織三次不同的志愿活動(dòng)。一次到聾啞學(xué)校跟殘疾的未成年人玩游戲，以削弱他們與社會(huì)隔絕的感覺。一次到敬老院與老人聊天，幫助他們打掃房間，以讓他們知道自己并沒有被遺忘。最后一次到動(dòng)物收容所，幫助哪里的員工給寵物洗澡。雖然做這些事情是他的工作，但他做的十分真誠。否則的話，可以降低頻率，或者刪去其中一個(gè)。

His work alleviates others’trouble and brings happiness to them.That is why I think he contributes to society.

似乎它可以從減輕他人困難以及給他們帶來幸福中獲得滿足感。這就是我為什么認(rèn)為他為社會(huì)做出貢獻(xiàn)的原因。
