一、題目得分點(diǎn)
首先看看題目要求:Using the example from the lecture, explain what behavior modification is and how it works.要求中包含了三個(gè)重要的內(nèi)容,即得分點(diǎn):1.使用聽(tīng)力講座中的例子;2.解釋文章中的一個(gè)概念(behavior modification);3.這個(gè)概念是如何發(fā)揮作用的。使用聽(tīng)力中的例子,即要將聽(tīng)力的內(nèi)容完整地概括出來(lái)。一般來(lái)說(shuō),聽(tīng)力中包含一個(gè)或兩個(gè)具體的例子或?qū)嶒?yàn),字?jǐn)?shù)在280-320左右,要求考生在一分鐘之內(nèi)將例子概括完整。如果概括的不全面,那么分?jǐn)?shù)就會(huì)受到很大的影響。
第二個(gè)得分點(diǎn)是解釋文章中的一個(gè)概念,也就是全篇的topic。考生只需將閱讀中的題目及解釋用簡(jiǎn)短的句子概括即可。
第三個(gè)得分點(diǎn)是分析這個(gè)概念是如何發(fā)揮作用的。建議考生在概括完聽(tīng)力中的例子后,用一句話來(lái)回應(yīng)第三個(gè)得分點(diǎn),例如:From the examples we can conclude that pleasant consequence encourages the repetition of behaviors.
此外,還有一個(gè)隱性的得分點(diǎn):語(yǔ)言連貫性,要求考生在回答問(wèn)題時(shí),不僅要做到內(nèi)容完整,還要整體上連貫流利。所以在平時(shí)的練習(xí)中,要有意識(shí)地培養(yǎng)自己的語(yǔ)言連貫性,不求語(yǔ)速達(dá)到多快,而求語(yǔ)言聽(tīng)起來(lái)句子連貫,能清楚地表達(dá)語(yǔ)義即可。
二、難點(diǎn)及方法
難點(diǎn)一:生僻的專(zhuān)業(yè)詞匯較多。
托福口語(yǔ)task4是學(xué)術(shù)講座,涉及的領(lǐng)域有:心理學(xué)、藝術(shù)、生物學(xué)、經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)等,專(zhuān)業(yè)詞匯較多,學(xué)生難免會(huì)遇到生詞,影響對(duì)全文的理解。那么應(yīng)該如何來(lái)應(yīng)對(duì)呢?其實(shí),在講座中通常都有這樣一個(gè)規(guī)律,凡是第一次出現(xiàn)的概念或生僻詞,都會(huì)用淺顯的句子進(jìn)行解釋。這一點(diǎn)在有些閱讀材料中也同樣適用。
難點(diǎn)二:概括難度大。
在一分鐘之內(nèi)用口語(yǔ)概括出閱讀、聽(tīng)力中的內(nèi)容,這個(gè)是很有難度的??匆粋€(gè)例題:One group got the boy looking angry. In fact he was actually throwing the cake on the floor. The other group got a picture of the boy smiling, happy, holding
out the cake like he was offering it. Same boy, same cake, but different emotions expressed in each picture.
