學(xué)生兼職的利弊托福作文
Adulthood will be a brand new chapter for children, from which only their independence and contribution to the society can help them survive. How to get children prepared for adult life is of particular importance in this competitive world. I believe encouraging children to take part-time jobs is a good way to get ready.
Taking part-timejobs can help children accumulate experience, which will prove useful if we are employed in a related field. On the other hand, if we have never taken any part-time jobs, we will find ourselves incompetent at our real jobs in the future. For instance, working in a team, a child can have a better understanding of cooperation; being required to do presentations, he/she will have to overcome his fear and shyness of speaking in public; when he/she has been treated unfairly, he/she will try to figure out a way to defend himself/herself or learns to accept it. The accumulation of skills and experience will pave the way of his/her future adult life.
Children will be aware of the reality of making money. To be more concise/ To put it another way, it takes diligence, persistence, a strong sense of responsibility to get payment. Only when they know how hard it is to make money can students be brought closer to maturity. However, if all they do is to ask money from their parents, they will never really grow up. Take my nephew, Jerry, as an example. Being the only child in his family, his parents and his grandparents give him enough pocket money every month, so he doesn’t have to have any sense of financial management. He would squander $1000 on a pair of shoes without a blink of an eye and throw them away one week later. However, things got changed last summer when he made a bet with his parents to be a guide at Beijing. He had to wake up at 6 every weekend to pick up clients and drive them all across this city to see tourist attractions. He had to take pictures for them, order food in ahead, and running around to get whatever his clients needed. This experience gave him a better understanding of how hard it is to get money.
Some people may consider that there are disadvantages taking part-time jobs, for example, children may get acquaintance with people who may have bad influence on them.Well, I do admit that there are chances that children work with or work for people like this. But I don’t think this should be a reason holding children back from taking part-time jobs. As long as parents keep track of their children’s updates, they can keep the youngsters on the right track. Plus, to meet different people in an early age is not necessarily a bad thing. Meeting people from all walks of life, children will realize the variety of opinions, diversity of personality, and the choices of lifestyles one may have. Their horizon will be broadened-burying themselves in books and dry theory is not the only thing that they can do in their life. After all, I still believe encouraging children to take part-time job is a good idea.
兼職的好處托福作文
(一)
Taking on a part-time job while pursuing a degree is hard work, but the benefits are typically greater than the amount of a paycheck. Students who work during their college careers may have better time-management skills than their counterparts. They must understand responsibility and apply it to their daily lives. They earn money that can be used for fun or for tuition, while gaining experience in the workplace that will be attractive to future employers after graduation.
Simply put, students who hold down part-time jobs will have more money than they would have otherwise. As they come into adulthood, earning an income canboost their confidence and allow them to have some fun within the limits of their paychecks. Some students need to work through school to afford tuition. Others will set the money aside to pay back student loans. Still, the money will be theirs to spend as they wish, and they may appreciate it more because they worked for it.
Students earning their own money get lessons on spending wisely. They may be less likely to spend their hard-earned money frivolously and learn to delay gratification to pay for necessities, such as text books and rent. At the same time, they can save for non-essential purchases, such as a car.
(二)
Students taking on a job on top of their studies will have less free time than non-working students. When working students have to measure out their time, they tend to be better planners as they make sure they complete every task on deadline. They learn to weigh their priorities, sometimes skipping fun activities to finish their responsibilities. This prepares them for life after school when excuses and tardy work will be frowned upon.
