Describe something you do to keep healthy. You should say:
what the activity is
when you do it
how often do you do it
also, explain, why it is a good way to look after your health.
I am a not fitness freak and having failed to be consistent in the gym, I have finally restored my health by jogging every day. Every morning, I along with my friends go out on a 5 km jog in the city. We usually start with my house and then move forward towards the city centre and jog in the cantonment area for the most part. It is around 5 am that we start and I am back home by 6:30. This includes jogging and some chit chatting along the way. Also, sometimes we go out for breakfast together, in that case, we land up around 8 back home.
It has been one month since we started it and initially, we were two friends going together but now one more has joined us as well. I really like the jogging part when compared to the gym, because when jogging we are more close to nature and in so many ways get to know the city. There have been areas that we have found out together and it is amazing. Not only it helps in being fit physically but also mentally. There have been times when we have shared our sorrows together and the feeling is really beautiful.
Jogging is always a better option, I believe, because it increases your stamina and jogging in the morning helps you to clear your mind better when compared to other. Also, this is something one can do without much of restraint.
1. How many hours do you sleep every day?
可以借助頻率詞:usually,sometimes,once in a while,occasionally,或者是on weekdays ,on weekends,on holidays 等。
通常我每天睡幾個小時,幾點到幾點,還可以給出原因,對學(xué)生來說睡前完成作業(yè),finish the homework and prepare for the next day。
Actually,on weekdays,I usually sleep for just 6hours at most. Because I have to stay awake, finish my homework and prepare for the next school day until midnight and I must get up around 6:30 to fresh up myself then commute to school for 45mins. Fortunately, on weekends or holidays, I can stay in bed as long as I wish, maybe for 10 hours or even more.
2. Is it necessary to sleep enough?
比如 storage up energy養(yǎng)精蓄銳; get a clear mind for the next day第二天精神狀況更好等; 另一個也很容易描述的方面是:實際情況是怎樣。
Sure, definitely. It’s extremely important to sleep for at least 7hours a day. So that one can storage up energy and get a clear mind for the next day. However, the fact is nothing like this. Almost everyone I know stays up quite late either having entertaining activities, playing smart phones or doing their job or homework. Lacking of bedtime is already a serious social problem nowadays.
3. Is taking a nap important?
午休taking a short break in the midday.
Honestly,I’m not so sure about this,I have heard that taking a short break in the midday prevents us from getting sleeping or dizzy in the afternoon. But in reality, the majority of my classmates including myself stay quite vigorous and active without it.So it might just be a personal thing I guess.
4. Do old people sleep a lot?
所以同學(xué)們還是要積累一下表示老年人的語言: the old, the aged,the senior,甚至也可以引入grandparents 這樣的表述。
回答本題目,這是一個詢問現(xiàn)狀的yes/no問題,切記在回答是否之后,自然要給出一系列細(xì)節(jié)事實狀況,老年人睡眠其實很多,只是睡得早:go to bed so much earlier,大概幾點就入睡,但是他們起來的很早,要去晨練 doing some morning exercise in the park ,早市買菜do some grocery shopping, like vegetables and meat for the family 之類的。
As far as I know, the old probably get more hours of sleep, maybe in average 8 hours. They wake up in the morning just as much earlier as they go to bed in the evening. Like my grandparents they start doing some morning exercise in the park with other aged friends at 6,and then go to do some grocery shopping for vegetables and meat for the family in the street market. It is a typical Chinese thing.

Describe a place in your city you want to go to
You should say:
What is this place
Where is this place
Why you like this place
And explain what do you want to do there
There are lots of places I like to go, depending on my mood. Today ‘though, I’m going to tell you about a special place near to where I live. I will explain where it is and how I get there. I will try and describe what it looks like and explain why I like the location so much.
I am lucky, although I live in a city, from my house I can walk to the edges of the Peak District, which is a beautiful national park just a few miles from the city centre. To get to the national park I have to walk from my house down some local roads, and up a steep hill past some allotments. After about a mile or so striding out away from the urban areas, I get to a lovely bit of woodland which has a public footpath you can follow on wards and upwards. It can be a bit of a scramble towards the end of the path as it is very steep indeed, but eventually, you leave the woodland and are on the edge of open farmland. Another footpath crosses some sheep-filled fields, and finally, you are on the moors of the Peak District. It is really spectacular.
The Peak District can be a really wild place, with its vast expanses of open moorland. You are high up, and it is quite exposed so it can be very windy and cold even in the summer. There are rocky outcrops and strange configurations of stones that have been weathered by centuries of wind and rain to create dramatic shapes. Some boulders are in piles, and there are steep vertical cliffs too. The area attracts lots of people who like walking, climbing and bouldering because of its unique and beautiful landscape. Everywhere is dark wet peat underfoot and lots of heathers. This is a low growing plant that flowers at the end of the summer turning the whole landscape purple. The park covers a huge area, I think around 555 square miles, so the terrain differs from area to area, of course, I am biased, but I believe I live near the most remarkably beautiful part.
I love this place, because if ever I am feeling down, or a bit enclosed, in just an hours walk I can find myself in a deserted but picturesque place, where the elements are more extreme. In winter rain and wind can batter you, but in summer the sky seems to go on forever. Every day is different up there, and every hour of every day too. The area is so huge, that often you can have it all to yourself, of course, there are other walkers about, but you can quickly disappear in the vastness of the space. The people who live in Sheffield, like me, are very proud that we are so near to the Peak District National Park, and it is no surprise it became the United Kingdom's first national park on 17 April 1951. A birthday that should be celebrated I think!

A favorite subject
I think the most interesting subject in my high school is geography. I have a dream to travel around the world since I was a child. At that time, I would always wonder where exactly some famous cities were on the map, such as London, New York, so I am really interested in geography.
I had a great geography teacher in my high school.
She was knowledgeable, hard-working and devoted to the students. I always felt very excited when I had geography classes because I couldn’t wait to learn more about the world. Besides that, I also liked reading atlas and other books about geography during my spare time. I would always have good marks/grades on geography throughout my high school years.
When I talk about geography with my classmates or even parents, I can always impress them with my knowledge. I still like geography and hope I can travel around the world in the future.
