Task:The best way to teach children to cooperate is through team sports at school. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Sample answer:

Cooperation has strongly been advocated by many schools, possibly because good teamwork spirit is regarded as shared trait among successful groups. It is believed that organizing children to do team sports is the best way to teach cooperation. My view is that team sports are of great significance to the cultivation of teamwork spirit, despite the fact that children can learn to cooperate through many other methods.

Team sports are known for the ability that it can improve children’s teamwork spirit. In the team environment, members need to know how to communicate with each other and discuss strategies to beat rivals, which can prepare students for both academic performance and career development. If there are no team activities provided for children, they may feel lonely and isolated from the outside world. Undoubtedly, introducing more team sports to children contributes to cultivating their cooperation spirit.

Another advantage of team sports is that it can encourage children to obey team rules. When they are playing together, they have to follow some certain instructions; otherwise activities or games may not be gone smoothly. In addition, children are more likely to help each other and realize the merits of others id they are occupied with team sports.

Meanwhile, it should be admitted that team sports are not the only way to cooperation. If the team fails, children may blame their teammate, which is harmful to both teamwork spirit and their friendship. Clearly, there are many other social activities that can improve children’s cooperation, including singing in a chorus and participating in unpaid community service.

To sum up, team sports provide a good environment for children to cooperate and encourage them to follow instructions, although we have to acknowledge that some other activities are also the methods leading to teamwork spirit.

Most countries spend lots of money on education as they start to recognize its importance. In your opinion which two following subjects are the most important for your people and which one is the least important?

It has been said that investing in education is investing in one’s future: this is true for both individuals and nations. It is always somewhat subjective to say which is more important, the humanities or sciences, as both have value. However, I would like to make a case for the importance of math and economics in this day and age.

Let us begin with math. Mathematics is a foundation subject which bridges many different fields, from physics and chemistry to the Internet and modern medicine. All of our material advances in the 20th century could not have happened without advanced mathematics. To be sure, it will also play a critical role in meeting challenges like global warming and space travel, to name just a few, in the future.

Likewise, economics is a fundamental discipline that allows societies to be stable and move forward. History is full of example of kingdoms and empires that collapsed as their economies declined. Most obviously, we need look no further than the current economic meltdown to see the importance of economics. The jobs and wellbeing of individuals and nations alike depend upon a deeper understanding of this field.

While all subjects have their merit, perhaps Geography doesn’t have the same importance it once did. After all, in our modern world we have 3-D maps online that allow us to see anywhere with the click of a mouse. But to reiterate, we need a balanced approach to education where we still produce artists and thinkers and historians and so on.

To summarize, math and economics are critical subjects in the 21st century. Governments must do their part to make sure we invest in these key areas and have qualified teachers. By doing so, they will ensure our prosperity and progress.

因此,我認(rèn)為老師也有責(zé)任教學(xué)生如何判斷對(duì)錯(cuò)和行為得體,比如守時(shí)(punctual)是好習(xí)慣,而浪費(fèi)(waste)是壞習(xí)慣;(for example,being punctual is a good habit and while waste is a bad habit).應(yīng)當(dāng)重視家庭,尊重長(zhǎng)輩,有禮貌;應(yīng)當(dāng)努力工作,有愛(ài)心,有正確的信仰。這些做人方面的內(nèi)容(How to be a qualified citizen)對(duì)學(xué)生在未來(lái)職業(yè)的幫助也很重要。雖然孩子們也能從家長(zhǎng)處或媒體上學(xué)到相關(guān)內(nèi)容,但老師通常是主體。
