雅思作文范文實例 1. Advertising makes people buy things that they do not really need. To whatextent do you agree with this view?
Advertisements, compared to other product promotion methods, have become moreand more prevalent in large and small cities and play a pivotal role in people's lives.
Some people believe that advertising fosters unnecessary desires, while others holdan opposite view. These two claims with regard to advertising will be explored in thisessay.
2. Using a computer every day can have more negative than positive effects onyoung children. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Computer technology is developing by leaps and bounds, as a result, people,especially children, make increasingly frequent use of computers in their daily lives.
However, as they spend a great deal of time sitting in front of computers, it has beenbelieved that this has more of a bad influence on children than good. Whether thisopinion is right or wrong is a matter for debate.

As I see it, this is an issue that deservescareful analysis.
5. Some people say the government should not put money in the arts, suchas music, opera and paintings, but instead should spend more money onconstruction of infrastructure. Discuss.
In recent years, there has been an intense argument on government spending,claiming that the money should he invested not in the arts, but in infrastructure, suchas public transport and hospitals. Given the fact that government funds are limited,prudent discussion is therefore needed.
6. Some people believe that charity organizations should give aid to those ingreat need, no matter where they live; others think that charity organizationsshould concentrate on helping those in their own country. Discuss both viewsand give your opinion.
Nowadays, more people all over the world are suffering from disasters, diseases andpoverty. At the same time, charity organizations have been set up to offer aid to thosewho need urgent help. Some hold that these organizations should help people allaround the world, while others believe that what they really should do is to help localresidents.
7. More and more people use mobile phones and computers to communicateinstead of writing letters to each other. Will letters disappear completely? Howimportant do you think letter writing is?
With the significant development of modern technology, communication has become more and more convenient than before. Letters, a way of communicating, are nolonger an essential part of our life. However, from my point of view, letters will stillplay an indispensable role in our daily life.
8. Some people think that people should retire at a certain age; others hold theopposite opinion. What is your opinion?
When people get older, they need to retire. Different people have different ideasabout whether the retirement age should he fixed. In my opinion, old people shouldretire at a certain age.
9. In countries where there is a high rate of unemployment, most pupils shouldbe offered only primary education. There is no point in offering secondaryeducation to those who have no hope of finding a job. To what extent do youagree or disagree with this statement?
In modern society, many countries are facing a high rate of unemployment. Somepeople hold the opinion that it is not necessary to give pupils who have grim jobprospects the chance to get into secondary education. Personally, I totally disagreewith this view.
