1. Do you like going boating?
For sure I like it. as it is a beautiful and enjoyable way to see some city or area or just enjoy the scenery that passes by.
版本二:Absolutely, I am a big fan of boating which is a great outdoor sport. Being out in the fresh air and sunshine boosts your mood and contributes to youroverall fitness. More importantly, as soon as you step off the dock, you have an unbridled sense of freedom.
2. Have you ever travelled by boat?
Oh, dozen times, I guess. Boating is perfect way for me to unwind and reconnect in the natural environment. So, yeah, I always try to go on a boat trip while traveling near the water.
3. Would you like to have your own boat?
Oh yeah, I would do it with pleasure. I think it is an excellent investment and also a great fun and one of the best way to draw a family together.
版本二:Yes, definitely! I've been longing for a cruise tour for ages since I watched the film Titanic, it looked so cool and luxurious to be on a ship with restaurants, bars and everything on it. Also, you can enjoy the gorgeous sunset on the sea, so I think cruising is the best way to travel as long as the ship doesn't crash with an iceberg like what happened in the film.
版本三:No, not really. I get seasick easily, so staying on a boat for too long is absolutely not a good idea for me. I still remember that I had a 30-minute boat tour when I was travelling on LIJIANG river and kept throwing up for 10 minutes afterwards, it was a nightmare.
雅思口語藝術(shù)活動(dòng)話題
Describe an art activity.
You should say:
when it happened
what you did in this activity
who you did with
and explain how you felt after doing it.
I’m very fond of art; my apartment is full of statues and masks and my walls are covered in paintings and prints. Having said that, I don’t tend to make my own art. I don’t think I’m particularly creative and I’d say I’m more practically or scientifically minded. The only time I can really remember regularly taking part in any art activity was when I was at school, but there was one time on vacation when I dabbled in a bit of art.
It was two years ago when I was on holiday in Indonesia. I was on a tour of some local villages and we came across a woman doing pottery. She asked if anyone would like to have a go, but nobody wanted to be the first one to take her up on her offer. I decided to try my hand at it, so I sat down and got stuck in.
You start by putting a lump of clay on a potter’s wheel and dropping a little water on top. The wheel begins to turn and you use your hands to form the shape you want, maybe a short, fat bowl or a tall, thin vase. I didn’t really have a clue what I was doing, so the woman took my hands and basically did all the work herself. We made a short, stumpy bowl and then used my thumb to put dents in the rim, so it ended up looking like an ashtray.
Once it was finished my hands were covered in clay and I felt a bit embarrassed as lots of people were watching and I had needed a lot of help to make the ashtray. Still, I felt good for being the first person to try and it was only a bit of fun; no one took it very seriously.
雅思口語家族企業(yè)話題
A successful family business you know
Describe a family business you know
You should say:
What the business it
How you know it
What products it sells
Who the customers are
And how you like it
范文
The LUCRATIVE SMALL-SCALE business that I'd like to talk about today is a boutique that I patronize, named "She Loves".
As a fashion shop, it sells an array of women's wear and specialize in dresses and blouses. Although they're not tailor-made clothes, customers can almost always find an outfit that fits them at "She Loves" because the shop will have the clothes adjusted, free of charge - I should add. There's also a range of chic accessories such as clutch purses and belts.
If I'm not mistaken, "She Loves" has been up and running for 2 years. What I find impressive about the shop is that within such a short period of time, its sales figures have soared and its business profile has been enhanced significantly. Its Facebook has at least 350.000 followers and there are hundreds of orders per month from different areas in the country. What's more, the shop's always packed with people shopping or browsing.
I knew about the shop by random, seeing its banner ad when surfing the net. Captivated by the dresses advertised, I clicked on the ad and have visited its website at least once a week out of a habit since then. Also, I drop by the physical store more than twice a month, especially when there are new arrivals.
If I had to give an explanation for my liking for the shop, I'd definitely say that I'm really content with the various products, plus the enthusiasm of the staff there. Despite being a family business, to my surprise, the shop operates really professionally. Besides, as it's a clicks-and-mortar business, I can conveniently do the shopping right at home. "She loves" is surely always on the list of my favorite boutiques.
雅思口語室內(nèi)游戲話題
Describe an indoor game that you played when you were a child.
You should say:
what the game was
where you played it
who you played it with
and explain why you enjoyed this game.
I think I’d have to go for puzzles. Jigsaw puzzles to be precise. I have a huge collection, although most of them are hidden in a cupboard somewhere in my parents’ house, these days.
I used to have a special table exclusively for doing my puzzles on. Once I got into the groove, I would become immersed in the puzzle and get lost in a world of my own. Occasionally I would try to solve one with my grandmother, but this was more for her benefit as I much prefer doing it by myself. I know it sounds selfish, but it’s just not as much fun sharing the responsibility with someone else and the pay off isn’t as big at the end.
I started when I was just a toddler, putting shapes into pre-cut holes, but slowly I graduated to more complex pictures. These days it’s not unusual to find me tackling a really complex puzzle, like an “Impossipuzzle” which are double-sided and feature a picture of something very small but in large quantities, like a plate of baked beans or loads of Brussels sprouts.
In my opinion as well as being an enjoyable pastime, jigsaw puzzles are good for your mind. The brain is basically just a muscle and so it should be given a work out every now and then. Jigsaw puzzles are challenging and although they are time consuming, they provide great satisfaction once you’ve finished one.
