雅思part2地點(diǎn)類范文篇一:適合閱讀的地方
Describe a place where you can read or write. (not your home)
You should say:
where this place is
how often you go there
how long you stay there
and explain why you like to read there.
Like a lot of people, I find the library is an ideal place to read or write. In addition to housing vast numbers of books, its whole purpose is to provide people with a peaceful setting to work or catch up on some reading.
I don’t want to make excuses, but these days I find I’m too busy, so I don’t use libraries as much as I used to – maybe only 2 or 3 times a year. But when I was a student at university it wouldn’t be unusual to find me burning the midnight oil while I studied or revised for exams. I would stay up for hours upon hours, time would fly by and before I knew it I would be getting kicked out, as it was closing. I should add that although they say, “time flies when you’re having fun”, on this occasion it was because I was panicking so much about my grades!
These days it’s hard to find somewhere quiet, most of the time you’re surrounded by noise, from people meeting up and chatting, or talking obnoxiously on their mobile phones, to screaming kids. Often you can’t hear yourself think in public places, but in the library it’s so quiet you can hear a pin drop. I can’t think of a better environment for reading or writing.
雅思part2地點(diǎn)類范文篇二:難忘的地方
Describe a place you went for a short period of time but you want to go back again.
You should say:
where it is
who you went with
what did you do there
and explain why you want to go back again.
I’ll never forget the time I spent in Italy, specifically Rome. I was on a business trip, so unfortunately I only got to spend a couple of days there, but I fell in love with the people, the culture and most of all the food!
The reason I ended up in Rome was that I had to attend a conference on behalf of my company. I didn’t hesitate to take up their offer as I had never been to Europe before. The next thing I knew, I was on a plane bound for Italy.
Although it was a pretty whistle-stop trip to the Italian capital, we tried to cram in as many sights as possible during our leisure time. We managed to tick the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain off our list, but we ran out of time to see other top attractions such as The Vatican. I was kicking myself, but there was nothing I could do – after all I was there for business, not pleasure.
I have always been intrigued by the history and culture of Italy, and my short glimpse has whetted my appetite for even more. I feel I only scratched the surface of what Rome has to offer and there would be plenty to keep me occupied if I ever had the opportunity to go back. That’s not to mention all the other places of interest that Italy has to offer, like Pompeii or Venice.
雅思part2地點(diǎn)類范文篇三:你熟悉的街道
Describe a street you know well.
You should say:
where it is
what are the main buildings around
how often you go there
and explain how you feel about this street.
The first place that springs to mind is Nanluoguxiang, in Beijing. It’s one of the most well known streets in the capital of China, with hundreds, if not thousands of tourists every day!
It’s in the centre of Beijing, just north of the Forbidden City and close to the Drum Tower and the Bell Tower. Another place of interest close by is Houhai Lake. I think it’s an old hutong, so most of the buildings around Nanluoguxiang are only one or two stories high and are either shops, restaurants or bars. There are also loads of street vendors selling cheap stuff, often just novelty items for tourists to waste their money on.
I don’t go there very often, in fact I try to avoid Nanluoguxiang if possible as it’s not my scene. It gets far too busy and makes me feel claustrophobic, plus the bars and restaurants are too expensive. On the rare occasions I do go, it is usually to show people who are visiting Beijing and a short time there reminds me why I don’t like it.
Overall, my feelings towards the street are not very positive. When I first went there as a tourist I loved it. I felt like a kid in a candy shop with all the souvenirs, snacks and cool bars with live music. But as someone who lives in Beijing, the idea of going to Nanluoguxiang fills me with dread and I’d much rather spend my time in a less commercialised street or Hutong.
