范文
I am reading How to win friends and influence people recently and I love that. It is one of the first best-selling self-help books ever published, written by Dale Carnegie.
How to win friends and influence people firsttells us that 15 percent of one's success is due to technical knowledge. However, 85 percent is due to skill in human engineering -- personality and the ability to lead people. And then the book is like a practical methodology introduces the ways of how to handle people and interact with each other.
I like to read those self-help books because they encourage me a lot and remind me of mistakes I have made in daily life and help me works effectively on human relations. Moreover, those books are not based on dry theory, but on the experiences of the writer and short stories of famous people from different area who are politicians, writers and leaders in companies. Their stories make the book more fun and persuasive.
book雅思口語范文篇二:
【Question】Describle a book that you enjoy reading
【Answer】I am so fonding of reading a book named 'A Little Princess'. It sounds unbelievable that I read it more than 10 times in my childhood and it's still one of my favorite novels.
'A Little Princess' tells us a story about a little girl named Sara. Her mum passed away in her childhood and she moved to India with her immense rich dad when she was six years old. She was sent to school at Miss Minchin’s and she became 'show pupil' - a little princess. Then her father died and his wealth disappeared, and Sara had to learn to cope with her changed circumstances. Her strong character enables her to fight successfully against her new-found poverty and the scorn of her fellows.
The book is mainly for the little children, though, it cheered me up when I came into trouble. It's a book full of imagination and the dream of every little girl--Being a princess. There are more books that can tell you the truth of love or the history of your nation, but A little Princess gives you the true feeling of love and being loved.
book雅思口語范文篇三:
1.How often do you read?
I’ve always loved reading, although these days it can be hard to find the time. If the weather is bad at the weekend, I love to curl up on the couch with a good book. There’s nothing better!
2.Do you have many books at home?
No, not many. I’m a very fast reader and, if I have enough free time, I can polish off a book in just a few days. For this reason, I like to borrow books from the local library or I sometimes buy them in secondhand shops or swap them with friends.
3.Do Chinese people do enough reading?
I think reading is very popular among older people. Younger people read too I guess, although these days it’s mostly on a computer or a smartphone.
4.Do Chinese people like to read?
Yes, definitely. I often see people on the bus reading. Occasionally you see someone with a newspaper, although this is becoming quite rare. Lots of people are glued to their Smartphones, or I sometimes see people reading ebooks on one of those handheld devices.
5.What kind of people like reading and what kind of people don’t like reading very much?
I think all kinds of people enjoy reading, although perhaps some people don’t read as much as they would like to. At the end of a long day at work, it can be easier to collapse on the couch and watch a movie or something on TV. If you just read for short periods, it takes some time to remember where you got to when you pick the book up again, which can be frustrating.
