1. Do you live in a house or an apartment?
你是住的單家獨(dú)院還是公寓
I live in a semi-detached house with three bedrooms in a suburb of Manchester. I've lived there for just over a year
2. Which is your favourite room in your home? Why?
你最喜歡的房間
I don't really have a favourite room. But if I had to choose, I'd say the living room because that's where I go to sit and relax.
3. Would you change anything about your home? Why / why not?
你想要改造你的房子么
Yes, I've been meaning to redecorate it since I moved in last year. It needs a new kitchen, so that's what I'd change first.
4. Would you like to move to a different home in the future?
未來你希望搬新家么
Yes, I'd definitely move again at some point if I could afford to. I'd like to live in the countryside, or maybe in a different city or country.
5. How is your apartment decorated?
你的公寓是怎么裝修的
I don't like lots of over the top decoration, so I guess you would describe it as minimalist. The walls are all white and the furniture is also either white or black. There are very few ornaments or pictures because again, I like to keep things quite minimal and I hate clutter.
雅思口語childhood memory話題
Describe a happy childhood memory。
You should say:
when and where the incident you remember happened
who you were with
what happened exactly
and explain why it is a happy memory.
I grew up very far from most of my family so I only saw them once a year. Every summer I would go to stay with them, while my parents continued working. Although I missed my parents, Iused to really enjoy spending time with my grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. I spent all summer there, nearly two whole months, so from time to time my cousins and I would get bored. We would ask my grandparents if they had any ideas for interesting things we could do. Sometimes they suggested going for a bike ride, sometimes into town to do some shopping. At other times, they showed us a new game to play. Then we were happy again.
One day - it must be about 12 years ago (doesn't time fly!) - all of us got really, really bored and we kept complaining to my grandparents. They were tearing their hair out, trying to think up ideas of where we could go and what we could do. Suddenly, my granddad came up with the idea of going to a new water park that had opened that summer. I hadn't heard about it but my cousins had, and they told me all about it. It was a park with vast numbers of different pools, some inside, some outside. There were water slides as well. And, on top of there wasnot one, but two play grounds with swings, a merry-go-round, see-saws. We were so excited.
We set off and on the way we were all singing songs and laughing. We couldn't wait to get there. When we arrived,my cousins and I ran into the park and changed into our swimming costumes. Then we went looking for the most exciting looking pool, and we found it, one with brightly coloured tiles and slides, we jumped straight in. We played all day in the park and had a lovely lunch, sat on some benches in the sunshine.
My granddad loved a pool that was filled with spa water. It was dark brown and stank of rotten eggs. I didn't wantto go in but he eventually convinced me. I'm pleased he did because thewater was really warm. I'd never swam in water that warm. I didn't want to get out, despite the terrible smell.
I consider it such a happy memory because we enjoyed ourselves so much and I remember so vividly how I felt that day. But there's more to it than just that. When I look back now, I understand how caring my grandparents were and how much they wanted us all to be happy. They wouldhave done anything to help us have a good time. Iappreciate that more now that I'm older andhave children of my own. I hope we thanked them; I can't remember. But, anyway, they were content, I'm sure, to just watch us have an amazing time, playing and laughing in the water
So, as you can see, it was a wonderful day and is one of my favourite childhood memories.
雅思口語Hobby話題
1. Have you got a hobby? If so, what is it?
Yes, I am a big fan of photograph for a couple of years. Although it would definitely cost me so much because the camera and lens are both quite expensive, I am the kind of person who wants the best or nothing and I believe they are totally worth it.
2. Is it an expensive hobby in your country?
It depends. If people want to take photos which are a bit different and professional than the ordinary ones, they should probably invest a great amount of money in the gears; on the other hand, if people just have fun with the pictures, they could buy the cheap devices, too. They are affordable and won’t cost much.
3. What do teenagers like doing in your country?
It's kind of hard to say but the young people that I know around me tend to play football so much in the football pitch, but maybe for others, they just want to play computer games at home all day long.
4. What hobbies are usually expensive in your country?
Well, in my country, apart from my hobby, there are also several hobbies that need you spend a great amount of money. For example, the musical instruments, such as piano and violin, will bankrupt you. As well as that, if people decide to embrace high end audio equipments, that would appear to be a bottomless money sink.
5. What do you like about your hobby?
I have been in the habit of it for almost 8 years. The main factor is that I can capture the precious moment in my life, such as the graduation ceremony, or the sweet moment with my girlfriend, and also I believe the photography will cultivate my mental development.
雅思口語喜歡的電影話題
Describe a film you enjoyed.
You should say:
what the film is
when and where you watched
what it is about
and explain why you enjoyed it.
I’m not a regular cinema-goer, I prefer the comfort and convenience of watching movies in my own home, where I can download them and view them on my TV. However, occasionally there is a film that I feel I must watch on the big screen, the most recent of which was Transformers 4: Age of Extinction.
It’s the newest film in the Transformers franchise, which is based on old toys that were made in the ‘80s. They tell the story of massive robots that can transform into different machines, like tanks or fire trucks, and fight battles on Earth. In this instalment, evil robots that look like dinosaurs, called Dinobots, battle it out against the good robots, called Autobots.
The film was released in the summer of 2014, the time of the year when a lot of big blockbusters are brought out because it’s the school holidays, so they can make more money. I chose to watch the film in a 3D IMAX cinema. Nothing beats the experience of seeing a big budget movie on a huge screen, with the characters popping out at you. The sound system at the cinema is also amazing, with surround sound making you feel like you’re in the centre of the action.
Although the story wasn’t all that great, I loved the action sequences and the special effects. Some of the film was also shot in China and the Chinese actress Li BingBing made an appearance, so even though it was a Hollywood movie, I could relate to it more easily.
