一、Part 1常出現(xiàn)的兩大錯誤

1.說的太少

Q:What’s your favorite color?

A:Blue.

病癥：Part 1檢測的是大家的日常交際能力。如果想取得高分，那么一定要把話題展開，把考官當(dāng)做你熟悉的朋友一樣去聊天。這樣對方才能夠接收完整的信息，從而判斷你的表達(dá)能力。

2.說的太多

Q:What’s your favorite color?

A:Well, when I was a child my favorite color was blue because it was the same color as the water in the swimming pool. I love swimming too much.But when I turned to 15 my favorite color became pink because···

病癥：我想，考官們一定對你的過去沒那么想了解吧!為什么要繞這么大一圈，然后談到現(xiàn)在的情況呢?況且在你冗長的敘述中，并沒有讓人眼前一亮的詞匯和生動的細(xì)節(jié)，所以，還是簡潔明了為好。

3.不夠直接

Q: Are you working or studying?

A:Oh, I've been working for three years.

具體分析：這個(gè)回答給考官有點(diǎn)不符合西方人思維的感覺，因?yàn)檫@個(gè)是一個(gè)非直接回答的答案。在西方人的思維里，他們希望你先直接回答問題，然后再增加額外的信息點(diǎn)或者知識點(diǎn)。

所以正確的回答是：先是在工作或者學(xué)習(xí)里面選一個(gè)，給他直接的正面的回答，然后再添加額外的信息。可以說："I'm working. In fact, I've been working for five years." 而且這個(gè)回答也可以用在Part 3 的問題里面。

2. 回答Part 1的“1、2、stop”法則

這里介紹的方法，就是嚴(yán)格按照以下兩步驟分別完成，最后一步是“STOP TALKING”.

(1)直截了當(dāng)?shù)鼗卮鹂脊賳栴}

解釋：就像病癥2中提到的，不要再提及“你過去喜歡的顏色是什么”、“你十年后可能會喜歡什么顏色”等等，用一句完整的陳述句告訴考官，你“現(xiàn)在”喜歡什么顏色!

(2)給出論據(jù)。

解釋：在第一句答案后面，加上做某件事情的原因。如果你的能力足夠強(qiáng)，不僅能很好地控制時(shí)間，還能讓考官樂于聽你的描述，也可以加上例子和其它的細(xì)節(jié)。

(3)STOP TALKING(停止發(fā)言)

解釋：讓考官對你的回答做出簡單地評判(當(dāng)然是在他心里默默地)，然后等待他她問下一個(gè)問題。

下面就以上的講解舉例：

Q: Let’s talk about your hometown. What kind of place is it?

A: I’m from Beijing, the biggest city in my country, so there are a lot of different places, people, and business there. It’s pretty diverse.

解析：第一句話給出了直接的答案(the biggest city)。so后面的內(nèi)容是支持自身觀點(diǎn)的細(xì)節(jié)描述。(最后一步：STOP)

Q:Would you say it’s a good place to live?

A: Actually, I don’t think it’s a very nice place to live. Maybe because it’s such a big city and every one living there is always so busy, in general the people don’t seem too happy.

解析：這是一個(gè)一般疑問句。仍然是在開頭直接給出答案(“是”或“不是”，表明觀點(diǎn))，然后用because 開頭給出理由。(最后一步：STOP)
