參考回答1
I’d like to talk about Lake Toba which is located in the middle of the northern part of the Indonesian island of Sumatra near Medan, it is the largest lake in Indonesia and the largest volcanic lake in the world. Lake Toba is the site of a super volcanic eruption that occurred hundreds of thousands of years ago, a massive climate- changing event. The eruption is believed to be the largest explosive eruption anywhere on Earth in human history.
Luckily, I have once visited this beautiful lake with my Indonesian classmates. We first started at the ferry port. Riding a ferry boat, we came to the island in the center of the lake. We stayed on this island for two days and interestingly we discovered that there is another lake on this island and it has yet another island in it too. Anyway, I think it is the best trip I’ve ever had, very relaxing and the view from the mountain on the central island is truly wonderful.
參考回答2
I’d like to talk about the Yangtze river, the longest river in China and Asia. It’s about 5, 550 kilometers long and starts in the Tibetan highlands, in southwest Qinghai province and flows through central China into the East China Sea at Shanghai. It is a major trade and transportation route. At the Sichuan basin, it meets up with the Wu River and flows through the Chang Gorges where it’s almost impossible to navigate, except for the locals. There are temples and pagodas perched on the hills along the gorge.
In 1994 construction began farther upriver on the Three Gorges Dam, 50 km west of Yichang, the dam was completed in 2009. It is the world’s largest concrete structure and largest hydroelectric station filling reservoir that will hold as much water as lake Superior in Canada and the USA. I like the river because it is so large and majestic. To tell you the truth, I’ve never been there, but a dream of mine is to take a cruise along the Yangtze! I have a friend who took such a cruise, and he said it was one of the most incredible experiences of his life.

范文
Seeing this topic, I would like to tell you about the Yangtze river that is more than 6000km long. It is the longest river in Asia and the third-longest in the world. If I'm not wrong, it is even the longest in the world to flow entirely within one country which drains one-fifth of the land area of China.
In China, the whole river is known as Chang Jiang, which literally translates to “Long River”. It plays a large role in the history, culture and economy of my country, its river basin is home to nearly one third of the country’s population.
Many people depend on it in their daily lives, even until today. The river originates from several tributaries in the eastern part of the Tibetan Plateau. It has long been the backbone of china's inland water transportation system that remained particularly important for almost two thousand years, until the construction of the national railway network during the 20th century. The Grand Canal connects the lower Yangtze with the major cities of the Jiangnan region south of the river and with northern China.
In a nutshell, Yangtze river is important to my country. I can’t even imagine how the people's lives would be if anything had happened to it.

If you see it on the map, you will find it looks not that special, maybe just like any other rivers, for example, the Nile or something. This article is from Laokaoya website. Do not copy or repost it. However, when you take a closer look at it, you won’t feel like it’s something that other rivers can copy.
