1. Do you like taking photos/pictures?

聽到這個(gè)題目很多同學(xué)的常規(guī)思路是“喜歡拍照,因?yàn)橛幸馑?I love taking photos because it is very interesting)”。

一是like這個(gè)單詞,我們可以有很多同義替換的詞匯,比如love, enjoy, be crazy about, be fond of等等。

Do you like taking photos 這里我們可以引入一個(gè)短語(yǔ) take photo of… 當(dāng)然如想表達(dá)給自己拍照可以說(shuō) take photo of myself.

Oh, yes, taking photos is my favorite activity to have fun. Every time when I travel with friends or family people to some places such as tourist attractions or parks, I’m sure to take my camera to take pictures of sceneries, people and even myself. I will save and copy these pictures to my computer. Then I sometimes use photoshop to process the pictures to make them look more beautiful. Of course, like a lot of young people, I also use smart mobile phone to have photos quite often. The most important reason why I enjoy doing this activity is that photos always remind me of the wonderful past life. I love it.

2. Would you like to take photos of others or be photographed?

這是一個(gè)非常經(jīng)典的選擇性的問答題,面對(duì)這樣的題目,大部分同學(xué)還是可以很快做出選擇的,例如很多人會(huì)說(shuō): I would like to take photos of others.

首先是Would you like的替換,除了I would like這個(gè)短語(yǔ)之外,我們還可以用I would prefer to do, I have my preference for doing,甚至I want to, I love to都是不錯(cuò)的,也可以用一些對(duì)比信號(hào)比較強(qiáng)烈的詞組,例如這樣的開頭句,Compared with being photographed, I would prefer to take photos of others.

與之相反,有的同學(xué)比較喜歡欣賞自己的美,就可以說(shuō),I feel really confident when seeing beautiful me in photos.甚至可以自嘲說(shuō)Maybe I have narcissism,有點(diǎn)自戀。

假如我的攝影技術(shù)很差,就可以說(shuō)Taking photos of others is a hard job for me and many of my friends say that I often make them look weird in photos, so I seldom take photos of others.

Do you usually write by hand or write using a computer?

誤區(qū):

I constantly write by hand since I’m still a student right now. I spend most of my time in school so I need to do a huge amount of school work and homework on a daily basis using pens or pencils. Teachers also check our handwriting in case we just doodle on papers. Actually I’m still working on it because of my poor handwriting. However, from time to time, I feel exhausted to write by hand. So when all the work has been finished, I frequently drop my pen and turn on my laptop to chat online. In addition, I’m always trying to memorize more shortcuts. I think using a keyboard to type is easier and a lot more fun.

Do you think computers might one day replace handwriting?

誤區(qū):

1.What do you think motivates people who seek fame?

In some ways I think there are two types of motivation, or two pathways, if you like, to fame. There are those who deliberately set out to become famous and that is their goal from the beginning. It doesn’t really matter if they have talent or anything, they just crave fame and I think they are motivated by wanting lots of people to like them, and the attention and perhaps the money also, but I don’t think that is the main motivation. Then there are people who simply do what they love and become famous doing it. They are motivated by their talent, I believe.

2.Some people argue that celebrities and famous people have no right to expect privacy because they are in the public eye. What’s your opinion?

I don’t think this is a valid argument at all. Famous people do not become public property simply because they are famous and I certainly believe they are entitled to as much privacy as the rest of us. Take Princess Diana as an example—she was hounded by the media and paparazzi to the extent that it killed her in the end. They are human beings and have the basic right to privacy like the rest of us. The only exception to this would be related to politicians and information which the public needs to be aware of in order to keep them honest!

3.Many celebrities have begun using their fame to raise awareness of social issues. Do you think this is a good trend or a bad trend?

I think this is a positive trend, but I also think celebrities have to be informed and knowledgeable about the issues they claim to believe in rather than just lending their names to causes they know nothing about in order to promote their own profile. They can’t just use it for their own gain, they have to be genuinely concerned. When it’s done well, there’s a real benefit in having celebrity power in raising awareness and money for important issues, such as the benefit concert for the earthquake in Wenchuan for instance.

4.Why do some companies advertise products by using famous people?

Some companies use famous people to advertise their products, because many people aspire to be famous or at least respect famous people’s opinions. It is also a well-known fact that most famous people are very wealthy. So, if people see that someone famous is using a certain product, they get the impression that it is a quality product. Another reason is that famous people are usually attractive. Having an attractive person in you advertisement draws in people’s attention, and will keep people’s attention longer than unattractive person.
