Ok right then, well the actor that I’ve decided to talk about is Zhou Xingchi, who, I think it’s fair to say, is one of the most famous and popular comedians in China.

You know, I’ve watched his films ever since I was a child, which I’m sure could also be said for the majority of people my age in China. And the reason is simply that he’s just so incredibly funny. I mean, whenever I watch his films, I can’t stop myself from laughing. And I’m not sure if you’ve watched any of his films before or not, but I guess you could compare him to Jim Carrey, in the sense that they can pull really funny faces.

And that’s probably what sets him apart from most other comedians in China. You know, he’s got such an array of different facial expressions! Anyway, as for what kind of person he is, well I don’t know him personally of course, but the impression I get of him is that he’s a very down-to-earth guy. So you know I mean, although he’s, like, super famous and mega rich, he seems to carry himself in a very unassuming manner. For example, in the interviews I’ve seen of him, he comes across as being a very modest and likeable guy, which can’t be said for a lot of celebrities you see on TV these days!

So yeah, that’s pretty much all there is to say really, and if you haven’t seen any of his films before, then you should definitely watch one.

Well, I'd like to talk about is Sun Yang, which is a household name in China. I guess you may have heard this before. He is known as outstanding achievements as a Chinese Olympic and world-record-holding swimmer. He has won three gold medals and was also the first person to win that in the Olympic Game. His freestyle swimming stroke is regarded as the longest-held world record and he is especially specialized in the 1500 metre. Every time when he participated in some sports games, my family would all sit in front of the TV screen and concentrate our attention on the process of the competition. Every movement of his position caught our eyes and we would scream and clap hands when he mon.

I appreciate not only his talent, but also his charming personalities. He looks so handsome with cute cheeks, big and round eyes, appealing heights. I think he is the most good-looking swimmer in China. Besides, he always kept the modest mind even when he was suspected by someone and accused for cheating in the game. He put all the arguments aside and proved himself through more efforts in the competition. I guess that is also the important reason why he gains large popularity in China..

I’m going to talk about a musician that I admire, called... He’s a singer who also plays the guitar and writes his own songs. I think he recorded his first album about 10 years ago, and he’s released several other CDs since then.

He became successful after many years of writing songs and performing live in small venues all over the country. Gradually he built a following of people who liked his music. I think the key to his success was one of his songs that was used on a TV advertisement. This meant that more people became aware of his music.

I found out about... because one of my friends got tickets to see him in concert. I hadn’t heard any of his music before, but I went along to the gig and really enjoyed it. After that I bought the first CD, and now I’ve got all of them.

The reason I admire... is that he has worked hard for his success: it takes years of practice to become a good singer and guitarist, and he spent several years playing to very small audiences before he became successful. I also like the fact that he writes his own music. I admire people who have worked hard to get where they are.
