Describe a science that you are interested in.
You should say:
l what it is
l why it is appealing
When was the first time you had access to it
話題語料:
1.I am truly not a science-centered person, but two aspects of it fascinate me. In college I enjoyed biology. It is interesting to learn how the body works. I still remember the concept of osmosis from an experiment, and how lactic acid works in muscles. In an elementary course I took on teaching science I discovered the science involved in cooking. It was fascinating and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Applying it to real life fascinates me!
2.I loved balancing equations and solving for unknowns in chemistry. Doing all the tests on a mysterious substance was so like a puzzle...I LOVE puzzles. It was fun, and even better when you reached the correct conclusion. I probably would have continued in my Biology/chemistry major if my chemistry professor in college hadn't told me that the way to better grades in his class was to wear shorter skirts and sit in the front row. What a domesticated mammalian quadraped! Ah, science!
3.I love the opportunity and exposure to the life sciences. To learn something I've never known about and to feel as if I understand the concepts brings a sense of fulfillment to me. Life science is my favorite because it shows the perfect synchronicity of the living world.

For all the places I have visited, the National Art Museum of China is the quietest place I have ever been to. I was there last year for a painting exhibition.
This art museum is one of the largest in China. It was built during the 50s and completed in the early 60s. When I was there, I realized that there weren’t a lot of visitors. Maybe the locals don't quite understand art and painting, and as a result the museum was very quiet, that you could have heard the sound of a pin dropping. Quickly, I put my cellphone into silent mode so that I wouldn’t make a noise and disturb others. For the day I was there, I enjoyed the quiet and observed the paintings silently. The museum’s permanent collection includes both ancient and contemporary Chinese artworks as well as notable Western artworks. Although the museum contains a collection of imperial Chinese art, its main mission is to serve as a national level art museum dedicated to displaying, collecting and researching China's modern and contemporary artistic works.
When I got out of the museum, I could barely take the noise out there, as my ears had got so used to the quiet inside. How great it would be if the world got really quiet like the museum once in a while!

When I wish to study intensely, I can block out the outside world by putting on my Bose headphones and blasting classical masterpieces by Bach. The music stirs my emotions and transports me to another world. I love the deep bass sounds and the pauses in-between that give the music such vibrancy.
Bach’s concertos are extremely powerful and they have a calming effect on my mind. They intense layers of music and mix of concert instruments cause me to block out the distractions of the outside world. Although the music is hundreds of years old, it is still popular with classical music lovers today.
I bought a pair of noise-cancelling headphones that cost me an arm and a leg on Aliexpress online shopping. They are these massive blue headphones that use a special technology and provide a deep, rich sound. When I pop them over my ears the world slides away and only the music remains.
I rely on the music to take away my problems at least two or three times a day. Since they use Bluetooth technology, I can walk around the house and melt away all my anxiety. The music causes my mind to wander and to think deeply about my life and future. It is almost like a form of therapy and I find it a daily necessity!
