Well ,I’d like to talk about my teamwork experience.There are four roles in my team. Student A is a shaper; Student B and student C are team-workers; Student D is an implementer; and I am a completer finisher. Completer finishers, just as its name implies, are painstaking, conscientious and used most effectively at the end of a task worked as quality controller, to search out errors and omissions, modify and polish them, and finally make sure the task delivers on time. But on the other side, completer finishers are inclined to worry unduly because of their perfectionism and have difficulty letting go and delegating work.
My role is important to teamwork guaranteeing task finished as scheduled and improving team performance to high quality. As completer finishers are always perfectionists with conscientious and disciplined characteristics, I have the capacity for follow-through and attention to detail, to spot errors and gaps and modify them for better. I do not allow any delay in task completing and think highly of punctuality. Owning to my role characteristics, I always keep an eye on the team members’ work process to recognize if task is undertaken as scheduled timetable and finished per our completion requirements. This works effectively and efficiently to make our team goal accomplished and standardized. But I also need admit that I am easily irritable and worried unduly, which might bring unnecessary air of tension to the team members and will affect their personal emotions and somewhat derail the work efficiency. For instance, when student A did not finish the scheduled task on time, I will think it was quite an irresponsible act and get quite fussed.
1. Do you like to look for new apps or just keep using the old ones?
Look for new ones ;
use the old ones ;
keeping the old ones while looking for new ones
1. 舊的app用過(guò)了,失去新鮮感don’t feel excited using old apps. 例如如果游戲APP的話里面的環(huán)節(jié)都清楚了you are familiar with what’s going on in it / know the contents清楚內(nèi)容,而每個(gè)月都有很多新的app,a large number of new applications,可以有很多新鮮好玩的download them for fun,空閑的時(shí)候有更多的APP來(lái)打發(fā)時(shí)間kill time;
2. 新的APP有時(shí)候是舊app的更新it could be a new version of old apps / an upgraded version,所以內(nèi)容可能更豐富,用起來(lái)界面可能更友好more user-friendly,更多特色add more features;
3. 搜索新的應(yīng)用可以拿來(lái)跟舊的做比較,compare with the old Apps,從而知道最適合自己的或者最好用的版本find the best app or get the one that suits me well,方便自己的使用。
舊的APP大部分都免費(fèi)free of charge/ can be downloaded for free / don’t need to pay for them,而新的APP很多都需要收費(fèi)most of new apps will charge / have to pay for them,所以不愿意下載新的;
APP,there is no extra space for new applications,而且很多新的應(yīng)用都很大,占用內(nèi)存多occupy a lot of space;習(xí)慣了用老的get used to the old ones,所以不愿意刪掉don’t want to get rid of them / remove them。
I am that kind of person who don’t like looking for new applications. It is not only because I get used to the old ones on my phone. It is also inconvenient to download new ones since the storage of my phone is quite small. I don’t have enough space for them. Besides, most of new applications would charge a small amount of fee if you want to download. So I prefer the old free ones.
2. Do you use free apps or the ones that you need to pay for?
1. 收費(fèi)的APP沒(méi)有廣告,there would not be any advertisements/commercials popping out when you are using it,用pop out 表達(dá)突然跳出來(lái),而免費(fèi)的應(yīng)用可能隨時(shí)都有煩人的廣告跳出來(lái)很煩it’s annoying,但是又必須要忍受Have to bear with it;
2. 收費(fèi)的APP往往功能更多come with more functions,畫面更好看better graphics/images,音樂(lè)更好聽(tīng)better music等等;收費(fèi)的軟件也更加安全robust application security,能保證自己的信息不泄露there is guarantee that my personal date will be safe from being hacked。
可能是因?yàn)椴幌矚g花錢購(gòu)買程序don’t want to pay for applications,是個(gè)人的喜好personal preference,而且總能找到免費(fèi)的作為收費(fèi)軟件的替代品you could always find alternative for those apps that charge money;而且,可以是因?yàn)橛妹赓M(fèi)的軟件更有靈活度,萬(wàn)一不喜歡可以隨時(shí)刪掉不心疼錢can stay flexible, when I need to delete it I just do it等等。
I prefer to use free applications because I would like to stay flexible. When I want to delete it to release some space in my phone or I simply don’t need them, I could just do it without worrying about the money I spend on it.
3. What are the drawbacks of having too many apps on phone?
1. APP裝太多,可能導(dǎo)致內(nèi)存空間不足there’s no enough space / not sufficient storage,沒(méi)有空間存照片視頻等其他內(nèi)容may not save photos, videos or other contents;
2. 裝太多APP會(huì)導(dǎo)致手機(jī)運(yùn)行速度變慢slow down the phone / it takes much time to operate / it takes ages to open an app打開APP的時(shí)間會(huì)很長(zhǎng),而且容易死機(jī)the phone may die easily if you try to open apps;
3. APP太多不好分類,等到要使用的時(shí)候可能找不到,因?yàn)樘珌y了too messy,may not find the one you want to use quickly,may get lost in those app logos被APP的標(biāo)志搞暈,再加上很多APP的標(biāo)志很相似look similar尤其是顏色have the same color / have identical color,所以很容易認(rèn)不出來(lái)想用的那個(gè)may not recognize the app you need;
4. 還可以從浪費(fèi)時(shí)間這個(gè)方向來(lái)答,因?yàn)锳PP很多都是和娛樂(lè)entertainment /leisure有關(guān)的,有很多也是游戲,所以下載太多可能會(huì)是個(gè)讓人分心的事it is a distraction / they may distract people from working or studying,下載太多之后總是去玩,導(dǎo)致浪費(fèi)時(shí)間it’s a waste of time / spend too much time on using apps,而且有些APP還會(huì)收費(fèi)charge,下載太多也會(huì)花很多錢spend extra money。
First of all, it is possible to spend too much time on using applications if people download too many. A lot of apps are games actually, which means that people may waste more time playing rather than working or studying. Besides, this can also slow down the phone, making phone easier to crash. Apart from that, having too many app logos on the phone can make it really hard to find the one you want to use. You could get lost in those logos in similar colors and shapes. So I don’t think it’s useful to have too many on the phone.
APP,get rid of / remove /delete old apps regularly or don’t keep the old ones,或者給自己的app分類整理categorize,防止桌面過(guò)亂。
4. How much time do you spend on these apps?
2 hours a day / 3 hours per day,per代表每,還可以用no longer than…/ at least至少/ at most最多 / between… and… I use those apps at least 1 hour per day我每天至少用一個(gè)小時(shí);或者這道題可以回答頻率frequency,例如once a day / twice a week / over five times a week。
除了給出時(shí)間之外,可以繼續(xù)把思路擴(kuò)充到具體最喜歡哪個(gè)APP,即介紹my favorite one is…/ the one I use the most is…
例如my favorite app is Wechat. I spend over half of time checking messages on Wechat;除此之外還可以給出原因,即為什么花這么多時(shí)間用或者為什么花這么少時(shí)間用,例如多余的時(shí)間比較多所以喜歡玩APP來(lái)打發(fā)時(shí)間I’ve got a lot of spare time, so I usually use apps to kill time,或者平時(shí)比較忙busy / time is occupied / don’t have a lot of free time,所以玩的時(shí)間很少。
I use my apps once or twice a day. Each time I probably spend 20 or 30 minutes on them. This is because I am busy with my work every day and don’t have enough time to play with those apps. I could only use them for fun during lunchtime or dinnertime. That’s why I don’t spend too much time on them.
Q1: Are you good at organizing time?
A1: Not really. I live a quite casual and laidback life. (細(xì)節(jié)) I mean, I like to follow my heart. For example, when I decide to watch a movie, I would do that immediately. Or even when I want to go traveling, I just do that without a detailed plan and I just set off in a week.
A2: I am good at organizing time and I consider it as a very important part in life. (why) I think our time is so limited and I’ve got loads of things to do always. I don’t want my life to be in a mess. (how) I like to have a to-do list and arrange my schedule. Then I do everything more efficiently.
I mean, by that I mean…
2)live a casual and laidback life 過(guò)著隨性而放松的生活。 過(guò)著什么樣的生活叫做 live a … life
4)immediately 立即
5)detailed 詳細(xì)的
6)time is limited 時(shí)間有限
I’ve got
9)in a mess 混亂
10)arrange my schedule
11)efficient 高效的
Q2: Do you think planning is important for time management?
A1: Yes, actually I think planning is the most important part of time management.(why) Time management means that you allocate the time to different things, especially the important things or the tough things. So it is just what we do in planning! For example, if I have a really difficult and big task to do and it requires a lot of time and energy, I would think about when to do that and set deadlines.
1)allocate … to… 分配…給… allocate a lot of money to my clothes, allocate enough time to my homework
2)tough
3)require
1)…means that… I believe that…
2)It is just what we do in …
...is just what I care about. …
名詞性從句,即 what I care about 整個(gè)為名詞成分,翻譯為我在乎的東西。
焖僬f(shuō)出口。
Q3: Why do you think some people pay to learn time management?
A1: Well, I guess it’s just because time management is really essential for some peoplewho work under huge pressure. (why) They generally have very tight schedule and they also need to look after the family. The courses may give them very professional trainingand help them manage everything better.
你的第一反應(yīng)可能是,well, really? well, I guess … The paid courses can really benefit them.
some people who… who引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句在口語(yǔ)中也常常出現(xiàn);定語(yǔ)從句在口語(yǔ)中一定要熟練。
