My favourite programe is the NBA game.Every weekends ,the CCTV ‘s sports channel will broadcast a live of NBA game. Many chinese people whatever how old are they,only if they like basketball,will enjoy watching the games.I think the NBA is wonderful and all the players have comprehensive skills.It’s usually blood and thunder.Sometimes in the last on second one team defeats another and wins the game. I am sure you will agree that watching such games is really enjoyable.If there is a NBA game,I will catch the game no matter how late it is.What’s more, watching them with friends is really a exciting and expected thing. The team we advocate and the stars we adore are different. We will argue with each other which team is better,who should be the MVP. After the game ,we will have a battle in the basketball field .I think it is a good way to relax ourselves.I am really fascinated with NBA games.

I do not watch TV that often nowadays but when I was a student, I used to watch televisions a lot. There are lots of programs that really liked and watched regularly. In those days I watch mostly news and some selective TV programs. The TV program that made a strong impression on me was a documentary that I watched on Discovery Channel.

The TV program was called “The sacrifice of genius” and it was a serial that had around 10 episodes. I watched all of those episodes and enjoyed a lot. This was mainly a documentary serial which emphasized the sacrifice the famous and genius scientists like Marie Curie, Thomas Edison and 8 other scientists.

I watched the TV program in my third year of my graduation program. In our local time, the program was broadcasted at 9.00 pm every Thursday. The program showed the life and work of the famous scientists and the sacrifices they made for humans and to make the world a better place. These stories were presented in a fascinating way and were very professionally made. The spectators would have the impression that they were actually watching the real scientists and their works.

I have learned so many things about those scientists and learned the sacrifices they made. Those sacrifices were unbelievable and after watching this program, I could not stop thinking about those famous scientist and their supreme sacrifices. This program has helped me thinking in a different perspective that sacrifices for others can be more important than personal achievements like wealth, fame and self-awareness. I later searched about details of those scientists and other famous persons as well and learned many things. I was actually inspired by this program and started learning closely about the people who made the world a place where we no longer need to live in the dark and do not have to fight the wild animals to earn our foods.

1. Do you like watching TV?

Yes, I’m keen on sitting in front of the screen during evening. I love all kinds of TV programmes, like chat show, fantasy, cartoon and so on. Well, these programmes do not require a lot of deep thinking and watching TV is a form of entertainment to ease my mind.

Well, I enjoy watching TV series, especially soap operas that based on a page-turner. These TV series are not only a good way to kill time but also able to provide more chances to inspire imagination and satisfy curiosity.

3. Do you prefer reading a newspaper, or watching TV?

I love to watch TV, especially the news report, because I can have a better and fully understanding of the news. Apparently, the contents and articles in the newspaper are not as objective as the on the spot reports on television.

4. What types of programme do children in China like to watch?

Well, I’ve no idea, but I guess, maybe animation, especially those with some heroic characters. Little boys love to be a hero and save the world maybe. However, girls are more likely fond of something fantasy, just like fairy tales or cartoons with angels or characters with magic.

我也不知道，但我猜也許是卡通片吧，特別是那些有英雄角色的卡通片?？赡苄∧泻⑾矚g充當英雄拯救世界。但小女孩更喜歡幻想類的東西，比如里面有天使或魔法角色的神話或卡通。

5. How do you feel about advertisements on TV?

I feel tired of TV commercials, especially those infomercials. When the channel begins broadcasting the endless infomercials, I just turn the TV off. Nobody loves being bombarded by advertisements and only few people would buy the products.
