【說明】此句型意為A是B和C是D一樣;

no less ... than=as ... as;

no less 之后可用副詞或 形容詞修飾;

A whale is no less a mammal than a horse is. 鯨魚和馬一樣都是哺乳動(dòng)物。

He is no less clever than his elder brother. 他和他的大哥一樣聰明。

She is no less good at swimming than Mary. 她和瑪麗一樣擅長(zhǎng)游泳。

His parents are no less happy over his engagement than he is (happy over his engagement).

【說明】此句型意為最多不超過;

=at most+數(shù)詞+名詞;

For safetys sake, dont drive more than 30 kilometers per hour in the city.

【說明】此句型意為至少;

=at least+數(shù)詞+名詞;

The audience was not less than five thousand. 聽眾至少也有五千人。

though they think it takes no more than three days to fulfill the mission, I believe it takes not less than six days.

=nothing but ...

Dont expect much of him; he is at best a student.

she is at best a second-rate singer. 她充其量是個(gè)二流歌手。

Dont scold him too much; he is at best a child. 不要太責(zé)罵他;他只不過是個(gè)孩子。

結(jié)構(gòu)6︰比較級(jí)+than+any other+單數(shù)名詞

【說明】此句型意為比其它任何都還。

這是用比較級(jí)來表示最高級(jí)的同范圍比較句型;

=比較級(jí)+than+all the other+復(fù)數(shù)名詞來表示;

John is more diligent than any other student in his class. 約翰比班上其它的同學(xué)用功。

=John is more diligent than all the other students in his class.

Baseball is more popular than any other sport in Japan.

在日本，棒球比其它任何運(yùn)動(dòng)都受人歡迎。

Autumn is better for reading than any other season. 秋天比任何季節(jié)都適合讀書。

Time is more precious than anything else in the world. 時(shí)間比世上任何東西都寶貴。
