Well, it seems that（這似乎） we cant live without cellphones nowadays. We use them for different purposes. For example, we might use cellphones to conduct business transactions （與某人有商業(yè)交易 ）or simply stay in contact with our clients . We sometimes use them merely （僅僅是）for fun and pleasure, like scrolling through webpages（滾動(dòng)頁(yè)面）, or watching funny or even stupid stuff on some social media apps like Tik-Tok. Having said that（話雖如此）, there are still some occasions on which we are not allowed to use our cellphones.

Today, I am going to tell you my personal experience（個(gè)人經(jīng)驗(yàn)）. If I remember correctly, it happened perhaps four years ago ? Anyway, that was the time when I first attended the classical music concert. Since I had never done something like this（類似這樣的事） before, I didnt know there were rules concerning the use of cellphones at all. So you could well imagine（你可以想象） how shocked I was on hearing that I could not use the cellphone from the announcement when I was seated comfortably in the chair, waiting for the concert to begin（等待演唱會(huì)的開(kāi)始）. I mean, Id been to many pop stars concerts before and we, the audience, all used cellphones whenever we wanted to. So I got confused（迷惑萬(wàn)分） about this rule. Why? For what ?

Then I asked someone sitting nearby（附近） He kindly explained that it was all for the sake of （為了。。。好）the audience. First of all, cellphones were actually quite a nuisance（討厭的東西） for those truly enjoying the concert, cos they might hear ringtones（來(lái)電鈴聲） of incoming calls or alarm clocks suddenly, if some forgot to set the mobiles in silent mode or switch off the phones（關(guān)機(jī)）. This would definitely get on their nerves, since they couldnt immerse themselves in the concert（沉浸在演唱會(huì)之中）. It is quite understandable（能被理解）. I guess I wouldnt like the sound of that either. Another thing is that if the volume, or you can say, the noise in this case, was above the average level（高于平均水平）, it might have a negative effect （負(fù)面影響）on performance from the orchestra as well. By that I mean, these loud noises might drown out （聲音等蓋過(guò)了）the sound from some instruments like the violin or piano. If thats the case, the whole performance would be ruined（毀掉了） ! And Im pretty sure that was not what we want. What we want was an excellent performance, a feast for the ears（聽(tīng)覺(jué)/視覺(jué)的盛宴 ）
