Actually I am not a sports person and I have very little interest in watching sports events as well, so Im going to talk about Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, which is one of the very few sport events I have seen. During that time I was a primary school student who was enjoying my summer vacation, so I always watched these live sports events with my cousin. And what impressed me the most is the table tennis race between Fukuhara Ai and Zhang Yining.

Fukuhara Ai was a player with really good skills, however Zhang Yining was better. Ais skills made a lot of trouble for Yining, but the latter took the lead by relying on the tricky return to the balls landing point and the aggressive attack. When Yinign finally won the game, our national flag was fluttering around the stadium, everyone cheered to celebrate the victory. However, I felt sorry for Ai, since I thought she had already made every effort but had to face failure.

In my opinion, athletes are always undertaking huge amount of stress, not only the hard training, but also some psychological factors. Sometimes they make mistakes on the field, they have to face heavy psychological pressure, but they still insist on playing. It is their self-confidence and professional quality that enable them to stick to their dream. As a result none of us shoule blame them just because they cannot get a satisfying result at last, after all they are the ones who want to rank high much more than we do. From then on I respect athletes more due to this reason.
