院校簡介
其前身是包括英國19世紀最偉大的首相威廉·格萊斯在內(nèi)的當?shù)孛鲃?chuàng)立的所教師培訓(xùn)學(xué)院。切斯特大學(xué)既具有悠久的歷史，也富于現(xiàn)代化的創(chuàng)新精神。學(xué)校的另一個校友沃靈頓擁有悠久的歷史和多處文化遺跡。
切斯特大學(xué)共設(shè)有7個學(xué)院：藝術(shù)與媒體學(xué)院；人文學(xué)院；應(yīng)用與衛(wèi)生科學(xué)學(xué)院；社會科學(xué)學(xué)院；衛(wèi)生與社會保健學(xué)院；教育學(xué)院；商務(wù)與管理和法學(xué)院。注冊學(xué)生1萬名。所有學(xué)院都開設(shè)了本科課程，講授式研究生課程和研究式研究生學(xué)位課程。學(xué)校由英格蘭高等教育撥款委員會（HEFCE）提供經(jīng)費，在校外各項機構(gòu)對學(xué)校所做的評估中都取得了“優(yōu)秀”的評價。因此，學(xué)校高質(zhì)量的教學(xué)水平在英國享有盛譽。
