To encourage people to adopt a more active lifestyle,building walking as a physical activity into their lives is an important step.In order to achieve this end,an effective measure that the government could take is to create a network of roads and lanes for people to walk on.Besides,city council should allocate more resources for the construction and improvement of sports fields and public parks,thereby offering more exposure to and opportunities for walking as an approach to exercise.As for people themselves,walking can be made an integral part of daily routine,and maintaining a comfortable intensity can render it more pleasant and interesting.After all,taking the initiative is the key to picking up a habit.
