Summer Book Club

Many people tend to perceive themselves as being superior to the average person in terms of certain abilties, even when this may not actually be the case. This phenomenon is known as the above- average effect.

方式1: Some prey animals are able to make temporary physical changes in order to look bigger whentheyre threatened.如果它們感覺到捕食者就在附近，這些動物會本能地做出一些行為，幫助它們暫時改變并擴大體型，使其比平常更大，從而使捕食者更難捕捉到它們。

方式2:還有一些prey animals利用棲息地的某些特征，將其作為自身身體的延伸，這樣一來，捕食者就會誤以為這種動物更大，因此就不會攻擊它。
