Over a few decades,the size of families has decreased in most countries,with an increasing majority of people choosing to remain single or live away from their parents.The reason for this trend lie in social development and the effects on society are mostly negative.

在過去數(shù)十年間，大多數(shù)國家的家庭大小都有所縮減。越來越多的人選擇獨(dú)自單身或者遠(yuǎn)離父母居住。這一趨勢的原因在于社會服戰(zhàn)，而起對社會的影響則多是負(fù)面的。

The typical reason for the high mobility of the population is the convenience of transports and telecommunications which allow citizens to move more frequently.For example,a huge number of young people migrate from rural areas to urban areas to earn a living.Many of them end up settling down in the city where they work,while their parents are unwilling to leave the hometown.This results in the separation of children,adults and the elderly.Consequently,nowadays,we will see many nuclear families in big cities,whereas in small villages,we will meet old people living alone waiting for their grandchildren to visit.

人口高度流動性的典型原因是交通和通信的便捷。這使得居民可以更加頻繁的移動。例如，大量的年輕人從鄉(xiāng)村地區(qū)移居到城市謀生。許多人最終都在工作的地方定居下來，而他們的父母則不愿意離開家鄉(xiāng)。這導(dǎo)致孩子、成人與老人的分離。因此，現(xiàn)在我們在大城市見到許多原子家庭，而在小的村莊里，我們則看到老年人獨(dú)自居住，等待他們孫子孫女的拜訪。

As the structure of the family is changing,the bond of family members seems to become weaker and there has arisen a series of social problems.The first effect is that the government has to pay for potentially huge medical care expenditure from its fiscal budget.This is because old citizens are in a need of care and attention but it is hard to acquire from their children since they are busy with their own business.Another effect of this problem would be that young couples in two-generation families will cope with all problems without any help from their parents,particularly taking care of their babies.Therefore,they have to pay a sum for a baby-sister every month as well as suffer more pressure with money which reduce their working efficiency.

隨著家庭構(gòu)造的變化，家庭成員之間的聯(lián)系似乎也變得更加微弱，并且出現(xiàn)了一系列的社會問題。首當(dāng)其沖的影響是政府不得不從財(cái)政預(yù)算中拿出很大一部分用于醫(yī)療開銷。這是因?yàn)槔夏昃用裥枰疹櫤完P(guān)注，但卻無法從他們自己的孩子那里獲得，因?yàn)樗麄冇凶约旱氖虑橐?。這一問題的另一個影響是，兩代式家庭中的年輕夫妻需要在沒有父母幫助的情況下處理所有問題，尤其是照顧他們的孩子。因此，他們不得不每月付錢請保姆，承受更大的經(jīng)濟(jì)壓力。而這則會降低他們的工作效率。

In conclusion,the mentioned cause could produce undesirable issues for the young and the old,but the mode of the nuclear family is expected to become the mainstream of our society as the result of urbanization.

總的來說，上面提到的原因會給年輕人和老年人帶來不良問題。但由于城市化，原子家庭會成為我們社會的主流。
