1.I’m going to talk about an interesting conversation that I had a couple of weeks ago in a music shop. I was walking along one of the main shopping streets in the city centre, when a large window displaying all sorts of musical instruments caught my eye. Out of curiosity, I decided to go in and have a look around.
2.The person I ended up speaking to was a shop assistant on the second floor, in the area of the shop dedicated to acoustic guitars. I hadn’t intended to speak to anyone, but the assistant approached me in a friendly way and asked whether I had any questions.
3.I explained to the assistant that I hadn’t played the guitar for years, but that I wondered what the differences were between the various acoustic guitars on show. He talked to me about the different makes and models, whether they were factory or hand made, the woods and varnishes used, the variation in sound quality, and of course the price range.
4.I found the conversation fascinating because the shop assistant was so knowledgeable. It was obvious that he had a passion for the guitar, and he didn’t mind talking to me even though I had made it clear that I didn’t intend to buy anything. He even picked up and played three or four of the instruments to demonstrate the differences in their sound.

雅思口語描述一次重要對話
Describe an important conversation.
You should say:
when it was
who was in the conversation
what it is about
and explain why it is important.
范文:
When I was a kid, I was hardly a model student. I had an older brother who was a bit of a rebel, he'd go out drinking and smoking and causing trouble, and I guess some of his bad behaviour rubbed off on me.
I can remember when I was a teenager, I must have been around 17, I had taken my university entrance exam but my grades were dismal. My parents were distraught, they had had such high hopes for me and I remember my mum being in floods of tears. My dad sat me down and we had a long conversation about my future and the direction I was heading in. He calmly told me I had a second chance to repeat the test and make my family proud. He said that I should take a long, hard look at myself and picture where I wanted to be in 10 years time.
At first I dug in my heels, but eventually my father's words sank in and I realised I needed to knuckle down and study. I hit the books hard and over the course of the year I was more and more prepared. In the end, I got a good grade and was able to attend university.
I feel like that was one of the most important conversations I've ever had. I knew that he was speaking from the heart and that I couldn't disappoint him any longer. My dad's words of wisdom were a real wake-up call and it turned out to be a major turning point in my life.

雅思口語PART1對話話題及回答
1. When do you concentrate on what you are doing?
Well, frankly speaking, I am not kind of a concentrated person. But if I do stay focused on something, I would say it happens when I am reading a book. For the reason that I am always attracted by the plot of the novels.
or I would pick the time when I am playing computer games. You know, on-line games like Dota really attract a lot of my attention. For instance, I could spend about 8 hours on it when I have got spare time.
2.When you can not concentrate?
Personally speaking, I can not keep my mind on something I am not into. I guess the most obvious reason is I will lose patience if I do someting I dislike. I remembered once I watched Beijing opera with my parents and my mind totally flied away cause I couldn`t understand a word.
3.What would you do if you can not concentrate?
In my personal experience, if I can not stay on the ball, I would absolutely take a break from it and try to do something esle to get my self relaxed. Some jazz music will definitely be my first choice. Then I believe I will be refreshed to go back to my former task.
4.Is it important to focus on one thing?
In my personal view, it is really vital to stay focused on the thing you are dealing with. There are many reasons, but I believe the first one would be that it will make you get twice the result with half the effort.
5.Can people deal with the two different things at the same time?
Honestly speaking, I don`t believe that we can pay attention to two different things at the same time. You know, one can not run after two different horses at the same time. Otherwise, we will not keep our minds on either thing and will not accomplish anything in the end.
