在含有虛擬條件句的復(fù)合句中，主句和從句的謂語都要用虛擬語氣。虛擬條件從句和主句的動(dòng)詞形式列表如下:

我們重點(diǎn)來看if引導(dǎo)的從句如果是與現(xiàn)在的情況相反這種情況(表格的第一行)，此時(shí)條件從句中的動(dòng)詞統(tǒng)一用對(duì)應(yīng)的過去式，主句中的動(dòng)詞則should/would/could/might+動(dòng)詞原形這種結(jié)構(gòu)。我們來看兩個(gè)單句：

1. 如果沒有這次的新型冠狀病毒病，我們將意識(shí)不到堅(jiān)決不吃野味的重要性。

If there were no COVID-19, we would not realize the importance of not eating bush meat.

2. 動(dòng)物實(shí)驗(yàn)被取消，人類將沒有辦法測(cè)試藥品。

If animal testing were cancelled, man would have no way to test medicine.
