Id like to talk about a time I tried scuba diving but I failed.
It was about 3 years ago when I was traveling in Sanya, a popular coastal city in South China. I went there with several of my college roomates in June and we had a great time there. Apart from eating seafood and taking photos of seaviews, we also tried various water activities like kite surfing, snorkeling and kayaking, all of which were exciting and fun.
Then we decided to try scuba diving, which is more difficult but rewarding, since we could see more beautiful fishes and plants in the sea. To be honest, I wasnt quite interested in scuba diving since its more difficult than snorkeling and Im not really good at breathing with mouth. However, I didnt want to be a wet blanket so I joined my friends.
We booked a tour at a club where there were coaches giving instructions as well as our accompanying us underwater. I once felt rest assured because of this at the beginning, and I was happy to see some fish with yellow and blue stripes in the water. But after a while, my ear hurted and it became more difficult for me to keep breathing with mouth. So I gestured to the coach and he helped me swim back to the surface.
Thats my unsuccessful experience of scuba diving. I call it a failure because we were supposed to dive 10 meters but I only achieved perhaps 2 or 3 meters. Anyway, Ive tried and my friends did finish it, so I still feel pleasant and satisified.
