2、Livelihood一詞在雅思寫作中其實(shí)也經(jīng)常使用，通常譯成生計(jì)，民生等。這句話中的improve peoples livelihoods可以譯成改善民生。當(dāng)然它的近義表達(dá)可以是：improve peoples living standards, improve peoples life quality等。與livelihood相關(guān)的幾個詞組大家也可以記憶一下：livelihood problems, livelihood difficulties，民生問題，民生困難。A bare livelihood就是勉強(qiáng)度日的意思，也可以表達(dá)為make ends meet或live from hand to mouth，都是勉強(qiáng)糊口的意思。

1、Immense, 形容詞，巨大的。Immensely，副詞，巨大的，極其的。例如：I like this movie immensely。我極其喜歡這部電影。毫無疑問它的近義詞為：enormous, enormously, tremendous, tremendously, massive, massively等。用來替換very和quite還是很好用的。(注意詞性)
