Although most children today enjoy the right to receive education,it is not within their power to decide what subjects they may study.Regarding this matter,educational theorists still find themselves at loggerheads over whether secondary schools should impart knowledge of various fields,or concentrate on teaching only a few selected subjects relating to a certain sphere of education.From my perspective,I reckon that secondary educational content should be narrowed down for students.

雖然大多數(shù)孩子如今都享有接受教育的權(quán)力，但他們?nèi)匀徊荒軟Q定自己所學(xué)的科目。針對(duì)這一問(wèn)題上，教育理論家們?cè)谥袑W(xué)究竟是應(yīng)該傳授各個(gè)領(lǐng)域的知識(shí)，還是教授少數(shù)經(jīng)過(guò)選擇的科目上相持不下。從我的角度看，我認(rèn)為應(yīng)該縮減中學(xué)教育的內(nèi)容。

促進(jìn)全面發(fā)展

First of all,fewer choices of subjects to study at school will create a window of opportunity for students to blossom socially.To further explain this,students will not constantly find themselves in a battle against time trying to complete their homework,prepare for new lessons,or review for upcoming exams.Instead,they will have more spare time to spend outdoors,be with their friends,or just be with themselves.In this way,their self-confidence or communication skills will be boosted significantly.

首先，學(xué)校里學(xué)習(xí)科目的減少會(huì)為學(xué)生自由發(fā)展提供機(jī)會(huì)。更確切的說(shuō)，學(xué)生不用掙扎于努力完成作業(yè)，預(yù)習(xí)新的課程，或者復(fù)習(xí)即將到來(lái)的考試。取而代之的是，他們會(huì)有更多的空閑時(shí)間用于戶外活動(dòng)，跟朋友一起，或者簡(jiǎn)簡(jiǎn)單單地獨(dú)處。這樣一來(lái)，他們的自信和交流技能都會(huì)得到大幅提升。

提升教育質(zhì)量

It has been found that secondary students nowadays are feeling more stressed and overwhelmed than ever before,and the reason to explain this is quite self-explanatory.Today,many children consider their schools prisons and their teachers correctional officers who would not stop giving them dull assignments to complete.When the inspiration to study is almost non-existent,it is understandably difficult for students to keep a good performance at school.Consequently,the quality of education,on the whole,will go downhill.

此外，研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，跟以往相比，如今的中學(xué)生往往感到更多的壓力。而其理由不言自明。如今，許多孩子將學(xué)?？醋霰O(jiān)獄，將老師看作不停給他們布置無(wú)聊任務(wù)的矯正官。當(dāng)學(xué)習(xí)的動(dòng)力幾乎消失，學(xué)生要想在學(xué)校里保持良好的成績(jī)自然十分困難。這樣一來(lái)，教育的整體質(zhì)量就會(huì)下降。

To conclude,I hold the firm belief that the schools should focus on a small choice of practical subjects so that the lives of secondary students should not be fettered down by any undue responsibility.

總的來(lái)說(shuō)，我堅(jiān)定認(rèn)為，學(xué)校應(yīng)該關(guān)注于少許特定的科目，以便中學(xué)生的生活不會(huì)因任何未能履行的責(zé)任而受到阻礙。
